Competition Teams
Monmouth Gymnastics' Teams have had a long history of high achievement, with numerous State and Regional championship titles.
The Cyclones Boys' Team, coached by Yuriy Aminov, has members from Class VII to Elite. Team members Steven Crabtree, Pierce Goldsmith and Emanuel Fradkin were All-Around State Champions in 2005 in their respective class divisions. Pierce also captured the Regional All-Around title in 2005. Steven went on the National Team and is ranked 24th in the nation. Ikaika Jacub won the All-Around State Champion in 2004.
The Shockwaves Girls' Team is coached by Terry Thiele. Members range from Level 5 through Level 8. In 2002, Lauren Jack was 5th in the State Championships at Level 8.*
The Monmouth Girls' Team is coached by Maggie Haney. Members range from Level 4 through Level 9. Maggie also does the Tops Program. Her top girls are all National Testing Qualifiers.*
The Riptides JOGA (Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association) Team is coached by Caitlin Pelligrino and has members from Level C through Level A+. Every season, the JOGA team has qualified and competed at State competitions and was the 5th All-Around team in 2004 at Level B States. The team members are very dedicated and strive to reach their goals.
*Shockwaves Girls and Monmouth Girls are both USAG teams.
