MONMOUTH'S LAURIE HERNANDEZ QUALIFIES INTERNATIONAL ELITE!!!!!
Laurie is the 1st International Elite for Monmouth! This is a huge accomplishment for Laurie as well as for her coach Maggie Haney. She competed at the National Training Center in TX at the Elite Qualifier on May 4th and received the scores she needed to qualify for International. She scored the highest out of 14 girls in compulsories with a 36.225. In optionals she scored a 14.1 on beam, 1st place, a 14.05 on floor, 1st place, and a 53.45 in the all around finishing 3rd place overall.

"Monmouth Gymnastic's Akash Modi, National Team member,
competed at the Kelloggs Pacific Rim Championships this past weekend,
March 16-18 in Washington for TEAM USA. This was his first competition
competing for the US! He competed as a junior and placed 3rd All Around
on the 1st day of competition. He was the highest scoring junior out of
the Americans! On day 2 in event finals he finished 3rd on pommel horse,
4th on high bar, 6th on rings, & 3rd on parallel bars. We are so proud
of him & also coach Yuriy for being responsible for all of Akash's amazing
